Greetings!
Dorie D. Hall is an equity-focused educator, instructional coach, and professional learning consultant with more than 25 years of experience in education and school and district leadership. A native of Warrenton, NC, Dorie left her hometown to attend the NC School of Science and Mathematics (Go UNIS!) in Durham before continuing her studies at North Carolina A&T State University and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Dorie began her career teaching middle school mathematics in 2001 and has since served as an instructional coach, curriculum director, assessment coordinator, professional learning specialist, and assistant principal. Throughout her career, she has combined her passion for mathematics, formative assessment, and educator development to help schools strengthen instruction and improve student learning.
As the founder and CEO of Lead and Learn, LLC, Dorie partners with schools and educators through professional learning, coaching, PLC development, common formative assessments, data analysis, and corrective instruction. Her work is grounded in a simple belief: Professional learning should lead to meaningful changes in practice—and those changes should lead to better outcomes for students.
Dorie is also the author of Leading and Learning About Common Formative Assessments and Leading and Learning About Corrective Instruction. She currently lives in Greensboro, NC.
